The J N C met with Mrs. Anna Hubka on Wednesday August 2 for a social afternoon and contests with high honors won by Miss Gladys Hays Mrs Linnie Bowen and Mrs Guy Clancy. Lunch followed. Mies Lucille Sparks Enjoys Four Week East Vacation

Mies Lucille Sparks returned home Friday after a four week vacation spanning Chicago and the eastern states. She visited the World’s Fair with stops at the Hall of States and Electrical Building and toured Lincoln Park and Marshall Field’s. She took lake trips on Lake Michigan and an auto journey 340 miles to Point Pleasant West Virginia, with a stay at Winona Lake Indiana.

New Park in Readiness With Benches Tables and Fuel Stove

The Diller park is rapidly equipped with donated benches and future tables for picnics. A furnace stove for outdoor cooking has been built near the site, fresh city water is available from the pumping station, and two toilets are added at the park outskirts. A large crowd is expected for picnic days on the 6th and 17th as readiness completes.
