Man trades in Buick 8 for new car at Fairbury

John Greider traded in his old vehicle for a Buick 8 business coupe at Fairbury last week. Leon Waggoner suffered a deep forehead gash Tuesday evening when he struck the steering post while ducking under a clothesline. Daykin area resident H H Junker dies at 56

H H Junker age 56 brother of Mrs Ben Behrends near Diller died July 24 at his home 1 1 2 miles south of Daykin from poplexy. Funeral services were held Sunday and burial in Fairbury cemetery. He was a prominent Daykin resident and his funeral was among the largest ever held there.

Esther Gretzinger of Beatrice and Bernice Gretzinger of Steele City visited Henry Frisbie at his home. Esther will teach in Fairbury this year while Bernice will teach in Albion. They recently returned from a auto trip to Wisconsin and Illinois visiting the Will Tristman home and Samer. They spent a few days at the lakes.

Fairbury Boosters Set Good Will Trip for Aug 19

Fairbury Junior Chamber of Commerce schedules a Good Will tour by auto buses with 100 businessmen and a band to more than twenty neighboring towns. The group will distribute over 60 000 souvenirs and arrive in Diller around 6 25 A M or 6 25 P M with a 50 minute stop before supper. An advance car will lead the parade. Their slogan emphasizes shopping at home.
