Fire Damages House and Kitchen Range Explodes
A severe explosion shattered a home as a coal fire burned out of control. The Climax range was blown to pieces while the building trembled and plaster fell. Mr Richardson and family escaped with minutes to spare and neighbors aided in quelling the blaze. Mrs Richardson saved by extinguishing a fire from hot coals. A dramatic wakeful morning turned to relief and gratitude as they salvaged belongings and shared a breakfast from a rescued stove.
