Mt Vernon telephone rates debated by Gambier speaker

Hon John Cunningham addressed Mt Vernon Chamber on rural Knox county telephone service and rate controversy. The record disputes his figures for 1919 income and expenditures, showing actual gross income 114,407.43 with net 83,781.06 and dividend 20,626.37, arguing stockholders earn about 6 percent and that the company cannot attract new capital at that rate.
