A blaze at 8 p m destroyed the third door of Columbus City Hall on East State street and damaged two others. The roof caved in and water damage to records and furniture is feared. Flames began in third floor dressing rooms used by the city recreation basketball team from Bliss Business College. Oscar G Ranke of Grove City reported the alarm, and all city fire apparatus responded. City council adjourned its street car hearing then held an emergency session outside. Officials expect a loss near $300000 and plan to meet to discuss a new city government site.
