The 11th Regiment Band performs at 8:15 PM with Prof. Oscar Puegner directing. The program includes Mediterranean Overture, Panorama, Intermezzo Gavotte, Waltz Flowers of Paris, Overture Under A Circus Tent, Foxtrot As Long As I Have You, and March Bogey arranged by Wheeler.
A new feature in Dalton schools this fall adds one hour weekly of religious education for all high school grades and for Sth 6th and 7th 8th grades. Local ministers teach the courses with no sectarian aim, focusing on Bible stories and their principles. Success depends on student and parent cooperation as the community recognizes the need for moral training across creeds.
Mrs. Susan Cully aged 94 of Wooster formerly of this place fell in her home last Saturday fracturing her hip. Her condition is reported as well as could be expected given her advanced age.
Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Snyder attended the second annual convention and banquet of the Veterans Association of the W L E Ry in Canton on Saturday afternoon and evening. Fifty Medina men signed up for a $10,000 golf course on Walter Kennedy's farm near Cleveland Road. The group plans to recruit fifty more to pledge $100 each.

The Wayne County W C T U Jubilee celebrates its 50th anniversary with events on Thursday September 23 at the opera house and Friday at the Lutheran church. Mrs Lulu Loveland Shepard, noted lecturer, will address both evening and afternoon sessions, with an engaging program planned.
Wooster College reports 881 students enrolled for the first semester 370 men and 512 women. Freshmen 130 men 177 women, Sophomores 108 men 131 women, Juniors 61 men 101 women. Seniors total 71 men and 101 women. two post graduates, Luuvlieu and Cora Wecht, attend from Dalton.
The Wayne County taxing commission completed work and set the 1927 tax rates. Thirty four rates are lower and twenty five higher than 1926. Dalton will have a rate of 16.60 down from 17.80 last year. Sugar Creek Two is 16.00, a decrease of .40 from last year.
George H. Bowers of Sugarcreek and Edith May Eshleman of Green township obtain a marriage license in the area.
The Dalton Ohio village council authorizes the Board of Trustees of Public Affairs to advertise for bids to furnish an adequate pump and appurtenances for the Municipal Water Works Plant. Specifications are on file with the board secretary. The ordinance takes effect after legal passage. Passed September 16, 1926.

The Village of Dalton Ohio invites sealed bids for furnishing a new water works pump per plans on file. Bids due October 7 1926 at 12 00 noon. S Miller announces operation of the Stanwood cider press starting September 23, to run every Tuesday and Thursday. He also states he will not produce cane syrup this fall.
