Destructive Barn Fire Destroys Gerber Property Near Dalton

A blaze destroyed the William I. Gerber barn and contents four miles south of Dalton. The 50 by 130 foot structure held 900 bushels of wheat 1000 bushels of oats 65 tons of hay and farming gear. Insurance with Sonnenberg Co. valued at 3962 dollars.

Advocate civic effort and town improvement in home pride message

A exhortation urges residents to support local projects, invest in community growth, and promote friendly, constructive judgment. It encourages praising improvements, funding public enterprises, and welcoming outsiders while avoidingcribbing criticisms and selfish motives. It urges citizens to back responsible leaders and keep sidewalks and streets in good condition.

A cement walkway was installed along the north side of the Presbyterian church last week. Additional sidewalks are planned with more to follow.

A Good Crowd Attends Band Festival Under Clear Sky

Saturday night drew a large throng to a band festival under a cloudless moonlit sky. A tri fle cool evening and fair roads helped turnout while admission was 50 cents. Prof Puegner delivered strong clarinet solo as proceeds neared $65 for the band’s benefit.
