PTA Select Projects At Sugar Creek Township Meeting
At the Sugar Creek Township PTA gathering on Wednesday evening, projects chosen include a Cyclorama for Dalton High School stage, radio and record players for grade schools, and athletic equipment for Boones school. Membership drive winners were Mrs Matthey's second grade at Dalton with 54.5% participation and Mr Springer's class at Kidron with 52.4% after which treats will be awarded. The PTA has 298 paid members and plans a bake sale on November 26, 1949.

The board thanks voters for renewing the two mill operating levy. A hot water heater is installed at Dalton grade school. A baritone horn was purchased from I Berg for $5000. Spahn and Barnes, architects, urged readvertising bids for new additions at Dalton and Koldron. Plans are being altered with legal ads forthcoming. A new school bus is being assembled. PTA executive committee discussed projects to aid finances and education. A fire extinguisher was installed at Boones School. New tools bought for the Farm Engineering Course. Board subscribes to the County Film Library. All bus drivers enrolled in County Safety Test.

Organ Dedication at Methodist Church Highlighted by Donation
A large congregation attended a Sunday service at the Methodist church for the dedication of the new Hammond organ donated by the Loyal You and I class of the Sunday school. District Supt. Dr. W. Dwight Heaston conducted the dedication, and Reginald F. Merrill of Cleveland performed an organ recital in the evening featuring works by Handel Nevin Bach Tschaikowsky and others. The choir plans a Christmas cantata on December 18.
