William T. Hamilton known as Old Bill, famed pioneer and mountain man in Montana, fought a legendary ice duel with an Englishman, later served as sheriff and marshal at Fort Benton, and led a risky peace mission to the Crow and Gros Ventre. He died in 1908 aged eighty six, proud to have served as a U S Army scout with the Stars and Stripes over his tiny cabin.

The Grosvenor Bullion syndicate has begun survey work and plans a 90 foot tunnel from shore. Artifacts including silver coins and a gold piece were recovered from locals.
Assistant Trade Commissioner Juli an E Gillespie reports that Palestine plans port enlargements at Jaffa and Haifa a large waterpower plant irrigation of the Jordan valley and a Galilee to Baghdad rail line but near term progress likely limited to Jaffa port improvements urged by Jaffa orange growers and shippers.
