Open Season for Rabbits and Pheasants Set in Ohio
Daily hunting hours 9 am to 5 pm for rabbits and pheasants. Rabbit season runs November 15 to December 26. Pheasants have a 2 cock bird daily bag limit and 2 in possession. Methodist Festival Aids Berea and Elyna Homes
For 27 Wayne and Holmes county churches 130 youths gathered at Millersburg First Methodist last Wednesday. They raised 1559 and 49 dollars in cash and canned goods for Berea Children's Home and Elyna Home for the Aged. Moreland church led group gifts with 256 dollars. Orrvitte and Mittersburg followed. Holmesville Federated won best decorated booth with Dalton and Shreve placing second and third. Dr C D Marston of Berea addressed the youths during worship.

Acting Master Russell Hasseman led the Tuesday evening meeting at Sugar Creek Grange. The program showcased a Thanksgiving poem by Mrs David Zuecher and a talk on education by Mrs Raymond Wilson, with musical selections by Hans and Alice Grossniklaus in Swiss and English. County Deputy Master O L Weygandt of Chester attended. Next meeting is Tuesday Nov 15 with a 7 pm picnic supper followed by officer elections.
