Dedication Set for New Dalton High School
A formal dedication for the new Dalton high school building is scheduled for Sunday at 2 30. Harold C Schweisberger will deliver the dedicatory address. He is a 1923 Dalton graduate with degrees from Wooster and Columbia Teachers College. He taught and coached at Richfield and served as district superintendent before retiring in 1964. The high school band and choruses will take part, followed by a tour of the building.

Board urges yes vote on Dal ton school operating levy
The Board of Education asks Dal ton Local voters to support a renewal operating levy on the November 8 ballot. It is not a new tax and will not raise taxes. the 5.2 mill levy for five years currently brings in about $71,000 annually to fund schools. A levy loss would curtail the existing educational program, and passage is necessary to continue the current program.
