Sheriff Morrow, returning from Beaumont with Harry Cooper who killed Jack Robinson, failed to guard him. Five miles from Little Rock Cooper leaped from the car window and vanished into the woods. The sheriff paid Beaumont officers 300 dollars as reward for Cooper’s capture.
