Death of Samuel Plummer In Orrville Civil War Vet Dies At 73
Samuel Plummer of Orrville dies at his home last Saturday aged 73 years 11 months 10 days. He served in the 16th Ohio Volunteer Infantry for three months and later in Company C 41st Ohio, wounded at Orchard Knob Tennessee ending his active service. Funeral held Monday afternoon with six comrades from the same company as pallbearers.

First To Receive Aid Under New Law
The state industrial commission awarded Nick Rho ic, of R. D. No. 2, Dalton, $2829 payable weekly for three weeks for an injury sustained while employed by GE Scott contractor of Pittsburg three miles west of Brewster on the Pennsylvania railroad. A bill of 83 was paid from the state insurance fund. The award was under the Ohio workmen's compensation law.
