Dalton high boys beat Rittman 24-20 for the boys title as Creston high girls overcome Mt Eaton 30-20 in the girls final at Wooster College gym. Gerald Porter of Big Prairie won the boys foul shootout with 26 of 30. Arlene McFadden of Smithville led girls at 28 of 80.

Farmers Meeting Plans Five Year Events
At the meeting held last Thursday night February 25 planners outlined five future gatherings for the year spaced every two months. April covers poultry topics followed by legumes in June an August flower show taxation in October and the annual December meeting with a possible banquet. A short one act play will debut early and then travel to other farmers meetings in the county with neighboring organizations later presenting plays.

Mr and Mrs Geo May and family attended the funeral of Mrs May s father Joseph Hatfield of Canton. Two daughters four sons and thirteen grandchildren survive. Prof R B Snell was re elected Supt of Dalton schools at the meeting of the Board of Education Tuesday evening.
