The Dalton PTA held a covered dish dinner in the high school auditorium with seventh and eighth grade room mothers as hostesses. Program opened with group singing led by Victor Gerber, Rev. Gene Hubbard gave a prayer, and Clayton Hofstetter presided over a business meeting.

The Wooster Rotary Club met at the Methodist church at 6 30 pm with Harry Sands secretary and Les Anderson president presiding. Dalon Rotary attendees were invited to an intercity meeting in Wooster on March 29 where Ed Wilkie of Chicago will speak. Dale Hart of Canton led a slide program on his Quebec trip with guests Glen Loomis James Neal Simon Steffin and others from Wooster Massillon and Dalton.
Elmer B Horst 64 of Shelton Washington died in a veterans hospital. Survived by Nina his widow three sons Glen Charles Eugene and four daughters Ethelyn Beverly Anita Zola and others nine grandchildren. Funeral held in Shelton with interment in Shelton cemetery. Alice Arick 97 Wooster mother of Ola Arick died in Wooster nursing home after five years care. Born in Sugar Creek in 1856 she lived in Wayne County most her life. Services conducted in Wooster with burial in Orrville Crown Hill cemetery. Family mentions Melvin Swisher survives, and church membership noted.
Miss Viola Steiner of Kidron and David Stanley Kuntz of Wichita Kansas were united in marriage at the Kidron Mennonite church on Saturday February 29. The service began at 7 pm with prayer by Bishop D D Miller a short sermon by Bishop Ruben Hofstettlee and the couple joined in nitr nage by Rev Lietoe a brother of the bride. Music by a trio Mildred Saltzman Grace Johnston Elma Tecan Rediger and soloist Leo Miller. Attendants Dorothy Steiner sister of the bride and Dean Shantz er. They will reside in Kansas.
