Three deaths reported by phone in Sonnenberg area reflect two on Thursday June 23 and one on Friday June 24. Benjamin Amstutz age 63 leaves thirteen children and a wide surviving family. Elizabeth Berg Falb age 59 dies suddenly amid heart trouble. Justus Schaller, 68, suffers a paralytic stroke before death with three children left. Funeral services planned in Orrville and nearby churches.

Lightning Struck Heifer Kills Animal Near West Lebanon
A thunderstorm struck on June 22 killing a heifer owned by Joel P. Gerber. Mrs Glorene Gerber Snavely and Miss Elda Falb sick with measles, with others in their circle also affected. Rev Lewis Amstutz was critically ill with measles but improving. Mrs John H Tschantz and Miss Frieda Furrer arrived for a week’s visit from Bluffton.
