Band Concert Saturday Night by the 11th Reg't Band

The 11th Regiment Band led by Prof. Oscar Pueyner performs Saturday at 8 30 featuring Sousa and Suppe marches. Selections include The Stars and Stripes Forever Poet and Peasant Overture and The Air Mail with arrangements by Lampe and Zamecnik.

Betty Adelman’s Revue Promises Family Entertainment in Dalton

A June 29 show at Dalton High School auditorium features Betty Adelman’s School of Expression and Dancing of Massillon. Proceeds aid a local swimming-pool fund, with 25 child performers, celebrity impersonations, acrobatics, vaudeville piano, and a Spanish dance finale. Class party and bank plans in Orrville

The United Presbyterian Sunday school Class No 7 met at the Horst home with sixty attending. George A. Berg elected teacher. Clyde Wenger led the session. Out of town guests included Mrs. Bertha Scott and Mrs. Milo Tracy. Plans for a new Orrville National Bank were outlined, offering 500 shares at 120 each with 100 capital and 20 surplus.

June Wedding in Dalton Celebrates Gregory Gerber Vow

In Sonn enberg a June wedding occurred Saturday at 12M in Dalton. Harry Gregory and Anna Gerber pledged lifelong vows in a ceremony conducted by Rev. A R Keiser. The couple, tied by years of courtship, plan a Washington D C wedding trip and will stay with the bride’s father for now.

Bank Plan Approved For Dalton National Bank Reorg

The Comptroller of the Currency approved the reorganization plan for the First National Bank of Dalton. The Reorganization Committee mailed copies of the plan and waivers to creditors and depositors, with opening date dependent on waivers returned. Prompt cooperation is hoped and the next issue may announce the opening date.

The Belton high school hosted the Grange degrees on Tuesday evening June 27 with 38 new members conferred by the Eaton and Sugar Creek teams. Sugar Creek 4-H Producers Club Elects Officers

The Sugar Creek 4-H Producers Club met Friday June 23 at Dalton High School electing Goldie Gerber as President Harrold Wertz as Vice President Pauline Gerber as Secretary Glenn Martin as News Reporter David Lehman as Recreational Leader and Stanley Tschantz as summer teacher. The next meeting is scheduled for Friday June 30 at Dalton High School to accommodate new members.

Ohio 4H enrollment to add 50000 youths nationwide

Shorts and Middlings reports note 50 000 boys and girls will join 4H clubs in Ohio. In Wood county, 70 rural youths formed a 4-H band led by Todd Simon of North Baltimore. Retail food prices rose 3 percent from March 15 to May 15 while farm product prices climbed 24 percent. Tariffs in May set wheat at 1.62 dollars in Germany 0.85 in France and 1.07 in Italy with flour milling domestic-origin requirements at 97 99 and 95 percent respectively.
