Edna Schultz Remembered as Dalton Church Leader and Mother
Edna Schultz wife of Paul Schultz prominent in Dalton church and civic life was born on a farm southeast of town. She attended Pleasant Valley School and Dalton High School then Commercial Institute of Massillon and worked at Goodyear and Ohio Water Service before marriage on June 10 1933. The Schultzes ran Lamplite Grill from 1947 to 1952 and have four children and one grandson. She has led the Methodist Women’s Society and Girl Scouts and chaired the local cancer drive while serving in church choirs and other community roles.

Miss Celia Denbrook daughter of Mr and Mrs Russell Denbrook left Sunday for Columbus to enroll at Columbus Business University aiming to become an executive secretary. A 1957 Dalton High School graduate she was active in chorus band and orchestra and served as music reporter for the Barker and business manager for the Luanna.

The Dalton Volunteer Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary will host a strawberry festival June 27 from 5 to 11 p.m. at the Fire Station with co chairs Mrs Paul Schultz and Mrs Dale E Scott.
