The second annual Dalton High School alumni banquet was held Friday night in Roebuck's hall with 44 attendees. Toasts by G C Freet and W D Harper highlighted reminiscences and future aims, followed by remarks from Profs Orr, Kimber, and G C Race. officers elected: C Willis Horn president Ada Cully 1st vice Gertrude Pope 2d vice Margaret Cully secretary Mart y Hrashey treasurer.

Tragic Summit Lake Drowning Near Akron Claims Two Men
Oliver Crosier aged 24 and Emil Bergdorf 37 drowned when their boat capsized at Summit Lake near Akron after midnight. Michael Shay survived by holding onto the overturned craft as Bergdorf, intoxicated, rocked the boat and sank. Bergdorf’s body recovered. Crosier’s remains not found. Both men were residents of south Akron.
