Dalton plans a classic Fourth of July with amusements, horse racing, foot racing, a pigeon shoot, baseball by two top teams, fireworks, band music, and red lemonade. Attendees are urged to join the town’s celebration, as no closer event exists than Pittsburg.
The third annual Hauénstein-Senft reunion gathered May 27 1905 at Henry Hauenstein’s Pleasant Valley home with family members and neighbors present. Officers were elected with R M Douglass president and John Hauenstein vice president. next meeting set for May 1816 at Mrs Barbara Beichley’s residence.
Mr. David P. Lehman and Miss Caroline Bixler wed at the Salome church in Sonnenberg Thursday last with Rev. A. A. Sommer officiating. The Gazette extends congratulations to the couple.
Mr. Charles B. Kirk of Massillon married Miss Cora EB Snyder at her parents home in East Greenville on Thursday June 1 at noon. Rev J T Hosk officiated.

County Coroner Dr. Sullivan reports Abraham Tschantz died after using a so called asthma cure from a peddler named John Fankhauser. The box labeled Lundius the Cure contained dangerous alkaloids. the peddler disappeared and the case may go to the grand jury for illegal handling of poisons.
The Lions lost to Massillon 13 to 1 at Massillon. Orrville beat Wooster 23 to 1 on Decoration Day at their new grounds. East Greenville Bunnies visit the Lions next Saturday afternoon. An ice cream festival June 11 at East Greenville benefits the Bunnie club. Dalton defeated Canal Fulton 12 to 1 in the morning, and 3 to 2 in a hard fought afternoon game at Dalton.
The Sugarcreek township commencement will be held at Schoolhouse No. 6 on June 8 featuring a program of music and orations. Students Elma Budd Helen Arnold Melvin Hoystetter Lloyd Hoffman Hulda Zuercher and others perform in mixed quartets and instrumental pieces including The Snow of Age and Our Country.
