Board of Education Awards Coal Contract and Hires Teacher

At the regular meeting the board opened four coal bids but rejected all. R Vankirk was awarded 152 tons of screened lump coal at $6.25 per ton delivered. Grace Westcott of Mt. Eaton was elected primary teacher for Kidron schools. Most teachers are hired. Sonnenberg and Kidron grammar openings remain. School opens September 5 for 1921 22 year.

Muskingum College Quartet to Perform in United Presbyterian Church

A Muskingum College male quartet will present a concert at the United Presbyterian church on Saturday evening July 23 at 8 p m. The program includes vocal solos duets trios and instrumental features with one member delivering dramatic readings. No admission fee a silver offering will be collected at the end.

Mrs. Wm. Bailey Dies In Canton

Mrs. Wm Bailey formerly of Dalton died at her Canton home after months of illness. Funeral held at Dalton Methodist Church with Rev. W H Oswalt. Born Mary Lucy Graber March 24 1864 Mt Eaton Ohio. Married April 18 1885. eight sons and two daughters survive with fourteen grandchildren and several siblings.
