Accidental Amputation at Spring Bed Factory
Cloyce Tracy, 18 to 20, lost his right hand when a driving machine fed seven nails at once. Clyde Maxwell operated the tool while Tracy, new to the job, assisted and was injured during instruction. Surgeons Dr Campbell with Drs Irvin and Grady amputated the hand at the wrist. The accident occurred last Wednesday during on site training for travel work.
