Louis Tschantz Elected Chamber of Commerce President

Louis Tschantz owner of Dalton Hardware was elected to head the Dalton Chamber of Commerce for 1963 with Carl Mason as vice president, C E Basner secretary, and Harold Douglas treasurer. EA Vandersalt preceded him at the post. The meeting at Dalton Presbyterian Church drew a limited crowd. a committee was urged to coordinate with village officials to attract new businesses.

Bach hits 630 in three game bowling series

Veryl Bach topped three games with 244 201 and 185 totaling 630 to win honors in multi game series. Bergs IGA narrowly trailed with 2653 pins for three games while M and M Oil also posted strong team totals.

Methodist Sermon and Broadcast Times Announced

Rev Paul R Price of the Dalton Methodist Church will preach on Christian Conduct at 10 45 a m Sunday. Mrs Glen Berg will play the organ with the senior choir providing music. Sunday School starts at 9 30 a m with Supt James Weisgarber in charge. The program Methodism in Action now airs on WTNS Coshocton at 12 15 p m. The Methodist Men show, featuring Dr Charles Goff of the Chicago Temple, is on WJER Dover Saturdays at 6 30 p m.

Blue and Gold Banquet honors Cub Scout Pack 22

The Blue and Gold banquet at the Methodist Church drew 60 attendees. Rev. Harry Klee gave the invocation and Cubmaster Austin Ober introduced guests including District Scout Executive Robert Baker and Mrs. Baker. Awards awarded include Wolf and Lion ranks with silver arrows for Donald Massie and David Hobert among others. Tedbert led the advancement awards.

Fund drives $240 for Dalton Heart Fund campaign

Captain Gene Grim announced the Sunday campaign raised $240 for the Dalton Heart Fund. He thanked town residents and volunteers including Rev. Glenn Lauder and Mayor Kate Slusser along with a long list of local supporters.

The Barberettes a Dalton quartet will be interviewed Saturday at 12 45 over Canton station WHOS 1060 dial They will perform a couple of songs and have gained attention after Canton station played their record recently setting off interest in their singing.
