Mrs Mary E Horbach aged about 58 died at her West Main street home after a short illness from pneumonia. She was the widow of Frank E Horbach and lifelong Dalton resident. Survived by two daughters Mrs Lara Cooney and Mrs Marie DeArment. Funeral today at two at residence, burial in Dalton cemetery later at Massillon vault.
Mrs Emma J Chapman aged 39 eldest daughter of the late A A Buchanan former resident died Feb 18 1920 at Washington Park Hospital Chicago following an operation She is survived by husband son and daughter a half-brother and two half sisters all of Chicago Funeral services were held Friday interment in Dalton Cemetery last Saturday The body was accompanied to this place by the bereaved husband and Mr B B Buchanan.

Tests are scheduled for Thursday and Friday for grades and Friday and Saturday for the high school due to time lost last week. Literary programs last Friday featured Washington life facts with 18 attendees. Library Fund subscriptions total 619.40 with 369.40 already in. community supporters and alumni show strong interest. Supt Miller visited Columbus to consult the State Librarian on book selection. The junior class box social Friday evening sold well and added ten dollars to the Library Fund.
The Baughman Grange will host an open meeting at its hall on Friday evening February 27. The program includes piano solos and duets, dialogues, papers, vocal music, and a talk by Judge W. E. Weygandt of Wooster. All are invited.
In Geary Oklahoma Times Journal notices, G A Lehman family visits after a public sale. Mr and Mrs Lehman and daughters Mary and Bernice were guests at W G Urton home for a surprise dinner with many friends from the valley. The Lehman family, long time Canadian Valley pioneers, leave to new home in Ohio.
February report covers a sick correspondent still bedridden but improving and Elma Badertscher's scarlet fever. Joel Lehman travels to Berne Indiana for a horse sale. H W Sommer teaches at Doylestown but returned home. Mrs John Lengacher ill at parents’ home and back to Trail. Menno Nussbaum heads to the Near East but ship delayed to the 27th and family ill with flu.

George B. McMillan at the Central Hotel in Dalton Ohio advertises top prices for oak ash walnut and popular logs. Visitors are invited to come in and view the variety counters.
Public sale listings for Orrville and Dalton areas announce March 3 and March 5 1920 auctions. Harry E Baker offers horses cows sheep hogs chickens and farm tools at one southeast of Orrville. J E Sword sale near Greenville Stanwood road lists cattle sows and equipment with credit terms. C W Barkman solicits 1917 Ford, cattle, hogs and farming gear at the Simon Bodine farm with varying lots and terms.
On Monday March 8 1920 starting at noon a public sale will be held at W H Frantz residence five miles south of Dalton three miles east of Kidron and three miles north of Mt Eaton. Items include horses cows pigs sheep wagons machinery grain and farm implements with 12 month credit on sums over 35. Auditors Gerber Bros and Ira Douglass also schedule sales on March 16 and March 17 respectively at nearby locations.
