Local Public Sales and Auctions Advertised in 1880 Notices

Public sale bills list numerous farm implements livestock and household goods with sale dates nine o'clock starts and no drink sales. Entries cover Gabel farm Dalton area Peters Zartman estate West Lebanon Dalton road Abraham Miller farm 200 acres with buildings timber and water features. Also notices urge debtors to settle promptly and promote printing services for stationery and business forms.

Public Sale of Real Estate and Personal Property on Miller Farm

Public sale to be held at the Abraham Miller farm two miles northeast of Burton City and three miles southeast of Marshalville in Wayne County Ohio on Thursday March 18 1880. Includes four horses two wagons twenty two cattle seven milch cows five two year old heifers four yearlings one brood sow two two horse wagons and more noting horses cattle wagons and farm tools.

Ordinance for North Church Street pavement in Dalton

Ordinance requires owners of properties on North Church Street Dalton Wayne County Ohio to build six foot brick or flag stone sidewalks with curbs as specified by grade. Walks must be completed by July 1 1880 or be sold at auction with costs charged to delinquent owners. Passed February 6 1880. Scott's Printing House advertisement included.
