Presbyterian Church notes the Bethany class monthly social on Thursday February 24 at 8 p.m. at the church parlor with Mrs Thomas Lorenz as leader and Mrs Merle Lehman assisting. A program features children from three churches, a mission collection for Christian teaching of migrant and Indian children and others abroad, six children in costume delivering the story message The Church on the Hill, singing directed by Mrs Ivan Badertscher with accompanist Mrs Charles Bates. World Day of Prayer will be observed with services in many languages and environments.
A children's service for World Day of Prayer is planned Friday at 3:00 PM at Dalton Presbyterian Church. Attendees are from 1st to 6th grade and will be released from school to attend, ending at 3:30 PM.
Mrs Russell Hasseman is a patient in Akron city hospital. Mr and Mrs Kile Lintern and son Edward were called to Wadsworth due to serious illness. The Dalton fire department ran to Adrian Spires residence on West Main Street Tuesday afternoon. a chimney burning out caused the incident. Mr and Mrs John Drew and family and Mr and Mrs Ralph Lehman and family, all of Massillon, visited Mr and Mrs Carl Drew on North Church Street Sunday afternoon.
Dalton P. T. A. announces Rev Calvin Wingert of Trinity Reformed Church Canton will speak at the meeting on Thursday February 24 at 8 pm. Special music will be provided by the 4th 5th and 6th grades and room mothers from those grades will handle refreshments. The event is open to all community members.
A combined World Day of Prayer service brings Pres byterian Methodist and Salem Mennonite congregations to the Presbyterian church on Friday February 25 at 8 00 pm. The evening theme is Abide With Me with Mrs Pauline Dye in charge and program led by Mrs Victor Gerber featuring songs organist Mrs Cy Springer a duet by Mrs Edna Burkholder and daughter Charlotte a play The Fruit of the Vine with narrators Mrs Paul Schultz and Mrs Noah Nussbaum and participants Betsey Dye Carmen Schultz Margo Wilson Carolyn Smith Mrs Robert Mumaw Mrs Wilbur Wilson Mrs Max Robart Mrs Cletus Gerber Mrs Ivan Mosex and Mrs Thomas Badertscher.
This week's births list three families welcoming new members. A daughter arrived to Mr and Mrs Dean Woods of South Mill Street last Tuesday. A son was born to Mr and Mrs Clayton Wagner of RD 1 at Wooster Community Hospital on Monday. A son joined Mr and Mrs Evan Taylor of Dalton on February 19 at Dunlap Hospital Orrville.
The Bonus Comitus Club met at Mrs. Carl Brown's home with ten members. After a brief business session, the evening featured contests and a social hour with lunch served by the hostess and Mrs. Ramon Lintern. The next gathering is planned at Mrs. Richard Fahrney's home.

Noah Flueckiger of Dalton route 1 is named to the Dean's honor roll for the fall term at Milwaukee School of Engineering. The 221 honor students are listed by the Dean of Engineering as part of the 1952 53 roll. Milwaukee College ranked 11th among U S institutions awarding electrical engineering bachelor degrees.
Dr. Charles A. Bowers announces the 1955 Easter Seal campaign will run March 10 through April 10, supporting crippled children in Ohio and nationwide. He serves as president of the Ohio Society for Crippled Children based in Cleveland.
