S J Goudy has been appointed Acting Postmaster at this place to serve until a regular appointment may be made which in all probability will be several months hence.
Mr. C. J. Harrold of the Internal Revenue office will be at the First National Bank in Dalton from 4 P.M. to 12, Saturday February 26 1921, and again March 5 in similar hours. All who have income tax to report should arrange to meet Mr. Harrold.
Miss Elma Hershey of Canton was away Saturday and Sunday. C F Buchwalter visited Millersburg on Tuesday. Leads for Eversharp and Eagle Chief pencils are available at Scott's. A candy and popcorn stand will be run by two M E Sunday school classes at Friday and Saturday night entertainment. Presbyterian church ladies sell home made bread pies and cakes at Town Hall Saturday afternoon February 26. Farm Bureau campaign reports 450 memberships as of Saturday night. Sugarcreek farmers may be visited by solicitors later this week. C E convention committee met at Presbyterian parsonage to plan Dalton May 6 and 7 with Mr Stokesbury present. J H Himes, Canton congressman-elect, says he will rely on local committee recommendations for appointive positions.

Final preparations are complete for Wooster College Men’s Glee Club appearance in the School Hall Friday evening March 4. The program includes chorus, quartet, solo numbers, and readings by Wylie Young. Proceeds help fund a lantern for visual instruction in schools.
An open competitive examination will be held in Orrville to fill a vacancy caused by Post Master Davison's death. The Dalton office salary is 1300 dollars annually. Eligibility requires US citizenship, residence within the delivery area for two years, age 21 to 65, good physical condition, and passing marks in arithmetic, accounts, penmanship, letter writing, and related training.
On Saturday February 26 1921 B F Hess will hold a public sale at his Dalton Ohio residence. Items include a driving horse buggy road cart sleigh harnesses collars hay baler platform scale tables stoves and various household goods. Public sale scheduled at the seller's residence 40 miles east of Wooster and 1 mile north of Lincoln Highway on Wednesday March 2 1921 at noon. Items include 4 horses 4 cows 10 hogs 80 chickens a plowman tractor and farm tools, 1500 baskets of corn 600 bushels of oats and 12 tons of hay. The farm of 120 acres with a 9 room house steam furnace bank barn and other outbuildings will also be offered.
