Miss Ivy Welty, 74, former Dalton resident and longtime Dalton schools teacher from 1884 to 1901, died last Friday at her sister Mrs. Henry Bowers home in Massillon after an extended illness. Survived by sisters Nettie Bowers Ida Howells and C S Keiser. Funeral held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Arnold funeral home Massillon with Rev. G C Elliott officiating. Interment Massillon cemetery. Pallbearers named. Dalton attendees listed.

Missionary Society Elects Officers At Presbyterian Church
The Ladies Missionary Society met all day with sewing in the S S parlors. A covered dish luncheon followed. Officers elected include Pres Ida Haney and Secy Verdie Camp, with a full slate for Aid and literature posts. A cafeteria supper fundraiser is planned for March 1 from 5:30 to 7:00 with beefloaf, pork chops, sides, desserts, and prices 1 to 4 cents.
