Farmers Institute at Dalton Sees Wide Participation
The Farmers Institute held February 15 and 16 in Dalton drew about 550 attendees across sessions with state speakers delivering practical talks on animal health poultry farming and tenancy. Local helpers including the M E church and Dalton High School contributed music readings and a miniature cornstalk farm exhibit. Mayor Hunsicker and Dorsey Miller led programs and a resolutions committee praised the event and thanked participants and supporters.

Death of Frank D. Cully Leaves Chicago Educator
Mrs. Sisda Cully received word Monday of the death of her son Frank D. Cully of Chicago. He taught in Dalton township and Dalton schools for years, later at Gregg’s Business College in Chicago until ill health forced retirement. Survived by his wife and three daughters Dorothy Ora and Ona, his aged mother, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral from the late home Tuesday at 2 p.m., conducted by his pastor.
