Several Ohio State University and Bowling Green University visitors spent the weekend with local families including Mr. and Mrs. Wayne McAfee of Wadsworth and Mrs. Nora McAfee. Russell Gregory served as accompanist for Bluffton College Operetta last Friday and Saturday. Merl Douglas and Gillis Nussbaum accompanied by their spouses traveled to Niagara Falls to enjoy the winter scene and its lights. Mrs. Frank Steiner of Dunlap Memorial Hospital shows progress. Obituaries note the death of Jacob F. Tschantz of Dalton at 87, survived by family. Grace Owens Neff of Dalton also noted for her long local ties and arts involvement. Dalton PTA Craft and Hob Show Highlights School Prizes
About 200 pupils and many adults attended the Dalton PTA Craft and Hobby Show held last Thursday night. Prizes awarded across divisions included ten and five dollar awards for elementary rooms, ten seven and five for high school, with special merit seats and awards for seventh and eighth graders. Louis Amstutz spoke, the High School Radio Club demonstrated equipment, and a panel of local judges selected winners for each division.

Yo-Ag students in freshmen and sophomore classes craft hog and calf feeders trailer beds truck racks stone boats farm gates bird houses and more. They gain manual skills for future farming work while aiming for high quality first attempts. Junior and senior boys repair discs and manure spreaders and service tractors in use. They plan to finish tractors then move to mowers harrows planters plows and wagons as part of Learn by Doing in vocational agriculture.
