The Dalton High Gym invitational benefitting Coach George Wherehome drew strong crowds as Rittman beat Wooster M. E. 30 to 26 in the final. Rittman had earlier defeated Apple Creek 24 to 21 in the semis and West Salem 35-0 in the first round. Wooster M. E. beat Dalton 28 to 25 in the other semifinal.
