Custody and alimony awarded in Wooster circuit ruling
In Wooster circuit court last week Sylvia Mellinger won custody of her children and the father must pay 5 per week for their care from May 10, 1904, with interest, plus alimony of 2000. Costs totaling about 500 are liened on Mr Mellinger’s 100 acre farm. The case involved Milton township residents. The court also upheld a $200 fine on G Cady for liquor sales in Mount Eaton.

Trial of Dye murderers proceeds amid juror delays
The trial of Harry White for the killing of Thomas Dye near Orrville last May opened in common pleas court before Judge Eason. Only 33 of 41 jurors answered, delaying proceedings as jurors are kept under supervision. Prosecutors say two defendants confessed to plans to rob Italians on a box car. Dye was shot when fleeing after being seen on the Wheeling & Lake Erie line.
