Dalton and Sugar Creek Township have been assessed $20000 for Red Cross drought relief and $46.97 has been paid so far. Support the cause by donating through school teachers or at First National Bank Dalton Ohio. Committee.
Mrs Ada Strassenberg 55 collapsed at 3 30 PM Monday at the Daniel Bentz residence in Freetave where she had worked months. She died instantly from a heart attack after returning from shopping. Funeral arrangements place body at Arnold funeral home Massillon and burial in Seward Pennsylvania by son Edward Heppner. Former Holmes county resident.
Notice states First National Bank of Dalton Ohio will not open February 23 1931 due to Washington's Birthday observance.
The annual recognition banquet of Wayne County Farm Bureau will be held Thursday February 19 at 6 30 p m at the Wooster Methodist Church. Murray D Lincoln Ohio Farm Bureau executive secretary will be the chief speaker with the Blind Columbian Trio of West Salem providing music. Uncle George Cooley of North Dover will present pins to all 10 year members. D W Gatehouse county president will preside. Committee members are A O Rehm Mrs D H Hiner Allen Rudy Irvin Geitgey and M C Ebright.

The writer recalls the sale began at 10 am dinner for all and a saloon crowd turning rowdy. Also notes births visits and several local community moments and assorted village news.

Twenty seven members attended the February Sunshine class gathering at the United Presbyterian Sunday school in the Alton Douglas home. A 7 p.m. chicken supper preceded an event with devotions led by Kathryn Wyre, readings by several members, songs by Ethel and Edna Douglas, and jokes by Merle Douglas. Contest winners included Mrs Alton Douglas Clyde Wenger Mrs Merle Douglas and Miss Blanche Palmer.
