Duane Miller’s first season record stands at 14 4 overall and 11 3 in the league after the Bulldogs defeated Doylestown 81 61 to secure second place. Mike Berg led all scorers with 24 points off the bench as Pat DeLapp sparked the third quarter with steals and buckets.
Bach Bros sit atop the Rupp Construction Classic with 69 wins, while Santmyer Oil, Rupp Construction, and G. G. Grim No. 2 share second at 60 wins. Wenger Excavating and Santmyer Oil post high totals in pins and series with individual scores led by Paul Eggenschwiler 598.
Dalton High reports a flu driven absences week but students prepare for upcoming events. February 21 marks first Speech Contest, February 28 brings State and District Music Contest at Hiram College, with band contests in March and a Mardi Gras planned by the Modern Language Club. Alumni Mollie Gerber Ann Good and Jeff Hamsher highlighted. Bulldogs finish season with a win over Doylestown Chipps. reserves also performed.
Second Grade Brownie Troop 929 met after school at United Methodist Church. They crafted valentine styrofoam hearts with red ribbon and a red center decoration. The season ended 11-7 with a wrap up game and plans for a Buckeye tournament.
