The Methodist church will host a Sunday morning worship with the topic dedicated to service. Martha circle and Mary circle will meet at specified members’ homes. The Young Adult Fellowship class held a 12 member meeting at the Smucker home and planned fruit baskets for Wayne County Home. A March anniversary supper at the church social room will precede a public ham supper on February 18 from five to seven with prices of 1.50 for adults and .75 for children, sponsored by the Woman's Society for Christian Service.

VFW Enters State Bowling Tournament
The VFW Sixth District meeting will be in Dover February 20 21. Dalton Post 5534 enters two teams in Sixth District competition at New Philadelphia February 21 at 9 p.m. The next VFW meeting is February 26 at 8 p.m. Dalton Post to enter State Bowling Tournament in spring at the same lanes in New Philadelphia. The post is 100 percent in the membership drive.

Funeral Services Held For J. A. McClelland
John A. McClelland 96 of RD 2 Dalton was buried at 2 30 Sunday in Stanwood Cemetery after a five month illness. A Sugar Creek township native he was among the last threshing rig owners in the area. Services were in Desvoignes funeral home with Rev. Frank R. Zartman officiating. Survivors include a sister Mrs Ada Wahler Canton and a brother Sam McClelland Dalton.

Mystery Farm Ownership Ties Dimly to Nussbaum Family
The 58 acre farm, pictured last week, was bought in 1906 by John E. Shorb from Sam Ziegler and later passed to Mr. and Mrs. Loris Nussbaum. Located 1.5 miles south of East Greenville the estate is now little farmed with riding interests shared by the family while Mr. Nussbaum prefers motorcycles. The household includes Lee in Dalton and youngsters Vance Marion and Leslie.
