Dalton Garden club held a surprise program at 8 p.m. in the VEW Post Home with Edna Campbell as the principal subject. Past presidents were honored, Valentine corsages presented, and a decorated Valentine box prize awarded among 36 members. Horticulture displays featured holiday table decorations and a luncheon followed by committee reports.

Methodist Church News highlights spring attendance push
The Dalton Burton City Methodist churches plan to raise Sunday attendance toward 200 in Dalton and 50 in Burton City with morning Worship at 10 30 and a 6 30 family night. Activities this week include choir rehearsals, an Hour of Prayer, and a community birthday party in the church basement. The Women’s Society met with 26 members and discussed Rural Negros aid.
