Italian immigrant wounded in near home assault
Nick Muzzi a 40 year old Italian resident of Orrville was shot and slashed by two assailants Friday near his home near an aluminum plant. He received 50 stitches for cuts to face neck and scalp and a shattered elbow. He was treated at Charity Hospital in Cleveland.

Obituary: Frederick Zaugg of Sugarcreek Township Dies
Frederick Zaugg a longtime Sugarcreek Township resident died at his son Levi’s home near Snively Thursday morning aged 82 years 10 months and 16 days He was born March 25 1832 in Berne Switzerland and died February 11 1915 He came to the United States in 1853 with family and was buried after services at Mt Eaton Reformed Church He married Mary Ann Graber Staufer in 1857 and survived by four children 15 grandchildren 7 great grandchildren and one brother.

Old Violinist Killed in Train Accident at Wooster
Daniel Roth 77 well known violinist of Wooster died after alighting from an eastbound train before it stopped and was crushed between platform and wheel. He taught violin in Shreve earlier that day. Survived by wife and two sons. Funeral held in Wooster Tuesday.
