In the tense aftermath of a suspected murder, Gerard and I uncover Demetrius as the mastermind who used jealousy and a cipher to manipulate Mrs. Burlington and push Gerard toward revenge. We plan a bold rescue to save Mark, while Jap and I brace for confrontation with the Greek foe.

Lisbon notes Holton Oil Gas Co plans to sink wells on 1,640 acres, with Lisbon Industries resuming. Fire Clay plants in Lisbon start up with about 150 workers. Keystone Fire Clay also resumes. Springfield item reports Carter sentenced to 15 years for assault following lynching arrest.

It notes bills on equal suffrage debates, sheriff prisoner removal, notaries, fertilizer analysis, and state audits. Debate on women’s suffrage resumed with postponement to February 23.
