The Dalton Community Club held its regular dinner meeting at the M E church basement with strong attendance. Guest speaker was H H Cully of Cleveland. D R McAfee led the business session naming a committee to plan two fundraising entertainment nights to finance school band uniforms. 1939 committees cover finance entertainment membership public affairs and attendance with the public affairs chair urging study of good roads.

The Band Mothers' Club hosts a bake sale Saturday afternoon in the Home Ec room at the high school. Chicken soup and doughnuts will be on sale. Prices include chicken soup 30c a quart and doughnuts 25c a dozen. Cottage cheese 15c. Phone orders to 2171.

Game Cancelled Between Mt Eaton and Local Team
The basketball game set for tonight February 15 with Mt Eaton was cancelled due to heavy snow and sickness. Robert Mumaw underwent appendectomy at Aultman Hospital Canton Tuesday morning. Jack Mumaw saw a half grown deer west of town near Woodland Inn last Friday. The Dalton Rod & Gun Club fish fry is planned for Saturday March 4 at the high school with movies bait casting and shooting activities.

Valentine Party By Community Orchestra Delights Members
The Community Orchestra hosted a Valentine party in the M. E. church basement Tuesday evening with 75 attendees. The 30 piece ensemble directed by Leonard Tracy performed, with duets by Wm Williams and Junior Williams, and Carl Goudy with Ralph Tracy, plus solos by Richard Amstutz and Goudy. A comic reading, a short talk by Lee Douglas, and games followed a volleyball match at the high school gym. A lunch of ham sandwiches, ice cream and cakes was served by the refreshment committee.

Rabbit drive planned for February near town
