Henry K Staver 74 died of heart failure after a February 1928 visit home in Dalton Ohio He had moved from farming to Dalton after his wife died He leaves two daughters Metta Steiner and Stella Shade five grandchildren and a brother George of Pennsylvania The funeral was at the Presbyterian church with Rev Alexander and Rev Findley among the officiants from nearby towns

Village Council Holds Regular Meeting and Votes on Local Improvements
The village council, with Mayor Erwin presiding, approved bills and heard petitions from residents on water mains extension and Buckeye Street paving. Jacob N. Moser was elected council president. Bonds for First National Bank as depository and for Street Commissioner Bentz were approved and filed.
