Razing of Dalton landmark to clear post office site
The old Central Hotel in Dalton, once a bustling stop for traveling salesmen and visitors, is being razed to make room for a new post office. The Gardner family ran the hotel from the early 1880s until deaths in 1921 and 1932, with notable guest receptions including Congressman William McKinley. After changing hands, the building housed diverse businesses and apartments before its sale to Donal and Mrs Dearolf for the post office project.

Bulldogs defeat Smithville to seize third in WCL race
The Bulldogs beat Smithville 83 to 70 on their floor to move into undisputed third in the WCL.
