The Gideons from Canton presented twenty five Bibles to Dalton schools and twelve Bibles to Mt. Eaton schools at a Sunday afternoon service in the Methodist church. Revs. A S Rosenberger R G Pinkerton and S J T Flohr assisted. J N Moser and Supt E R Steiner accepted the gifts for the schools. F E Clapper of Ganton gave an address on The Bible.
The Community Club meets Friday night February 14 at 6 30 in the U P church dining rooms. The menu features Breaded Pork Chops Mashed Potatoes Gravy Creamed Lima Beans Cinnamon Apples Perfection Salad Buns Butter Jelly Cherry Pie a la mode Coffee.

William H. Lintern 71 suffered a left hip fracture after slipping on an icy crosswalk near the Hoobler home at Mill Street and Schultz Avenue Wednesday about 11 o clock. He was transported to Massillon City Hospital by Stockham's ambulance for X ray confirmation of the injury.
Dalton residents are invited to the Saturday grand opening of Seth Wright's new 5c to 1.00 store. The proprietor asks community support as the venture aims to boost local business and attract new residents. Shoppers will be welcomed to inspect the merchandise and see what is offered.
Dalton faces Fredericksburg on the local floor Thursday night February 13 adjusting the schedule from February 14 as previously announced.
The Orrville plant suffered two fatalities when a locomotive jumped tracks and overturned while pulling empty box cars. Engineer Allen Wade aged 40 and conductor Harry Humble aged 59 were crushed beneath the cab. Wade is survived by a mother two sisters and a brother. Humble is survived by his wife Ruth Leighty and his mother Mrs Mary Humble. Funeral and burial details were not announced.

Mrs John Lower formerly Mil dred Kruschenske daughter of Mr and Mrs Chas Kruschenske plays a feminine lead in the radio serial Findleyville broadcast Mondays at 8 pm on WCOL. She also appears on WBNS Fridays at 9 30 pm in We're All Actors and is rehearsing the lead in Hold Everything for city organizations.
