Fall on icy walk fractures Lintern's hip in Massillon

William H. Lintern 71 suffered a left hip fracture after slipping on an icy crosswalk near the Hoobler home at Mill Street and Schultz Avenue Wednesday about 11 o clock. He was transported to Massillon City Hospital by Stockham's ambulance for X ray confirmation of the injury.

Two Killed At Orrville In Loco- locomotive Crash

The Orrville plant suffered two fatalities when a locomotive jumped tracks and overturned while pulling empty box cars. Engineer Allen Wade aged 40 and conductor Harry Humble aged 59 were crushed beneath the cab. Wade is survived by a mother two sisters and a brother. Humble is survived by his wife Ruth Leighty and his mother Mrs Mary Humble. Funeral and burial details were not announced.
