The Huffman brothers blind singing group will headline M E revival meetings through the week ending February sixteen with prayers and outreach. Evening topics include What are You Doing O Woman on Thursday and The Devil and a Lion on Saturday with Sunday sermons on Home. Rev M A Burris is pastor and reserved seating is available for women and girls.
The 1918 city council met with all members present except Owens. Bills allowed include tax payments to Treasurer Wayne Co and expenses to Locke Bros Schultz Wagon Co J S Moock and Dalton Pottery. The franchise bill for Wayne County Telephone Co was revisited after stockholders urged modification of a life service clause and was submitted again to the company before adjournment.

From the Gazettes of twenty five years ago Bailey Bros started a new saw mill on the flats on a Monday Wheat sells at eight and a half cents per bushel in Dalton The Bald Eagle Theatre company plans a performance at Burton City Parish records show a marriage at the V P parsonage between Tilden Welty and Celina McElhinney both of Dalton and Helmcke timber contractor runs the cooking department in Buchanan's woods near town now forming a small village."
The Sugarcreek Township Teachers will hold their monthly meeting at Silver Hill District No. 2 on Friday evening February 14, 1913 at 7:30. The program includes a music and literary program directed by Joel W. Schwartz and lectures on education by Clara Amstutz Helen Berger and Merl H. McDowell, followed by a round table discussion on rural schools and church trends.
The Calon Board of Education held a regular session electing Mr. T. C. Hunsicker as president and setting monthly meetings on the first Thursday evenings. Reports from teachers were read, salaries and bills approved, building rights referred to the building committee, and rental for a high school room singing class fixed at 75 cents per night. Orrville Marshal Arnold, a local drayman, barely avoided being struck when south gate lowered for westbound train No 41. He crammed the wagon, freeing horses just as the locomotive sped by, following a recent similar incident nearby.

A mine wash shanty at Mine 21 0 z east of town burned Tuesday morning, destroying the free change and wash facility and clothing of 40 to 60 workers. The blaze damaged the building and contents, with losses estimated from $5 to $4000 per item and company loss around $825000. Dynamo room partially used to replace the destroyed structure.
Vernon Simpkins aged 25 son of Louis Simpkins of near Orrville died Wednesday night after a three month illness from tuberculosis. He leaves his parents a brother and two sisters.
Since Rittman became an incorporated village it has had no board of education. The county representative Etling announced he would introduce a bill in the legislature to address the situation as a schoolhouse is needed badly and no board to oversee construction.
A special session of the grand lodge of Ohio Odd Fellows will be held in Wooster Friday night February 14. Prominent officers expected include Grand Master F. C. Goodrich of Troy and C. H. Lyman of Columbus, grand Secretary. Delegates from all district judges will attend.

J E Wescott of Mr Eaton was Wednesday appointed to a state auditor office position as an examiner in the Department of Cities. Wescott previously served as assistant to Major Frank Gerlach when he led the Lancaster school.

Saturday night Mrs Amanda Stinson wife of J R Stinson of this place fell on the icy pavement near the church and sustained a Colles fracture of the right arm She was taken to Dr Haney's office nearby for surgical aid.
Arthur Lower a 27 year old school teacher and son of John Lower was injured near Ox Lake when a wire clothes line struck his mouth during a brisk walk at Theodore Clapper’s home. The impact caused a double fracture of the jaw, an unusually severe injury for such an accident. A physician attended him and treated the upper jaw fracture, described by doctors as very serious and difficult to care for.
