Memorial service honors America's dead on Washington's Birthday
France pays tribute to American war dead in a February 22 ceremony. A memorial certificate of honor will be given to the nearest relative of each service member who died between April 6, 1917 and November 11, 1918, including those who died in the United States. Local American Legion posts will conduct the presentations with Wooster Post No. 68 organizing events at the Lutheran Church in Wooster at 2 PM. Relatives should mail the deceased soldier’s name and address to the post commander for follow up.

Caroline Bentz daughter of Daniel and Margaret Bartman was born in Tuscarawas County Ohio on September 22 1867 and died January 23 1920 at age 52. She married Daniel Bentz on December 6 1891 and left a husband father mother three sisters five brothers and other relatives. She trusted in Jesus during her illness and said she was ready when the Lord called. The Bartman family thank neighbors and friends for sympathy and kindness.
