Aged Mrs Elizabeth Flickinger died Sunday night at her daughter Mrs G A Beitman home from stomach cancer after returning from Massillon hospital at her request. Mary Elizabeth Wertz widow of Jacob Flickinger born Dalton Ohio September 24 1833 died February 8 1914 aged 80. Survived by seven children Henry Canton Charles Canton Mrs Kate Poorman Canton Mrs Maud Segars New York City Mrs Nora Beltman Massillon Warley and Frank Massillon. Funeral at daughter’s home conducted by Rev J V Findlay then Massillon interment.
A pleasant evening at the basement of the Methodist church honored Mr. N. R. Cooney a longtime Alpha Bible class teacher. The farewell reception and surprise included a banquet for over a hundred attendees and brief talks by Rev. Burris and others. Mr. Cooney and wife will move to Arizona for several months and the class will be led by Mr. Jos. Eby during his absence.
Rev. Lewis M. Snyder formerly of this place now in Poe Medina county but living in Medina wed Tuesday to Miss Garner of Nevada a prominent church worker The ceremony was at Rev J M Woods home in Revenna performed by Rev Dowd The Snyder family will reside in Medina and receive local congratulations

The operetta produced by the Methorist church young ladies at School hall Saturday night was a success in every respect. Mrs N B Cagney directed the production and Miss Ida Weiss conducted the music and played piano. Proceeds totaled $65.00.

Brewster town council met Tuesday evening to discuss bond sales for waterworks and a sewage disposal plant, street grading, street light relocation and new lighting, all switch controlled. The school board plans a $13,000 bond issue for a four room addition and contracts have been let for several new buildings.
