Four fast games slated on the local floor this weekend. On Friday February 11 the two teams meet Doylestown High School squads and on Saturday February 12 they face Orrville High School. Attendance encouraged to support local teams.
A meeting is scheduled at the Dalton high school on Thursday evening February 17 at 8 o clock. Residents plan to discuss better roads for the township and town and form a cooperative plan. Dalton is the only county town without a county road.

The first meeting of the extension class from Kent State Normal School will be at Orrville High School on Friday evening February 18. All teachers interested should attend the initial session.

Administratrix of the H M Blackston estate schedules a public sale on February 16 1927 at noon on the premises three miles southeast of Dalton and one mile south of the Lincoln Highway. Items include horses cows hogs poultry corn oats hay farm machinery tools lumber wagon car and miscellaneous farm goods with terms to be announced.
The Dalton Lumber & SupplyCo changes hands with Fred H. Boel of Malvern Ohio assuming charge last Thursday. Levi Heibner retires as resident manager after years of involvement with the company.
Andrew Hofacre 83 longtime resident of Wayne counties died at his daughter Mrs Alec Oberlin’s home in Millersburg Sunday afternoon. He left six daughters including Mrs Levi Heibner and Mrs Orville Santmyer of this place and others in Massillon Stanwood and Stanwood. four sons Leroy Kelsie Altie Elmer of West Lebanon. 46 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild survived. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon with Rev Harvey Stoner and Rev R C Ellsworth officiating. Burial took place in Stanwood cemetery.
Mrs Mary Eckard Wenger 53 oldest daughter of Peter and late Mrs Eckard died Friday at 7 30 PM at her daughter Mrs L E Strong Massillon Ohio after a week long stroke of apoplexy She leaves husband Wim M Wenger son Vernon two daughters Mrs L E Strong and Mrs A M Vogt four brothers Harvey Elmer G kester Howard Eckard and two sisters Mrs Harry Dague and Mrs Geo Cully A grandson Funeral was held Monday at 2 PM at Second Presbyterian Church Rev R H Kirk officiating Interment in Dufton Cemetery
Funeral services for Migtan Jacobs son of Mr and Mrs Rex Jacobs of Massillon were held Friday afternoon at the family home 324 Henry Street The Rev R C Ellaworth of Wesley Methodist Church officiated Interment followed at Crown Hill Cemetery Orrville
