Dewey Bowers, once of Dalton, marries Ada Panarra Merkle in Reno on January 5 and will live in Patterson California. Mr and Mrs C V Amstutz spent a Florida vacation. Mrs Frank Steiner recovering from a heart attack in Dunlap Memorial Hospital with expected two week stay. The flu remains active with Rev Paul Price unable to lead services. Local trips note 60th wedding anniversary for Roy and wife Oberlin. The Barberettes, a Dalton based quartet, include Mrs. Gene Grim, Mrs. Ned Biggs, Mrs. Harold Douglas, and Mrs. Robert Berg. Janice Grim leads musical arrangements. each member is a Dalton High alum with family ties, church involvement, and prior singing in local groups. Dalton's Pack edged Rittman 54 53 after a late sequence led by Zuercher 24 points and Miller 14. The Pups then routed Northwestern 45 19 with Miller 19 and Zuercher 16 pacing the attack. Dalton seeks next game at Shreve then Doylestown to end season.
The Dalton Garden Club met at the Presbyterian Church on Thursday February 1 with Mrs. Myron Johnson as hostess and Miss Kathryn Seager in charge of devotions. Carl Weis spoke on Canton City Parks with slides from all four seasons. Officers were installed by Mrs. Boyd Peck. each received a flower representing her office. The next meeting will be at the Fred Blosser home with Mrs. Boyd Peck as assistant hostess.
President Harold Douglas presided as Dr. Buchwalter gave the invocation. E L Springer introduced Bob Baker, Killbuck District Boy Scout Executive, who praised leaders and den Mothers and urged developing good in every boy to shape them into good citizens. Next week's program features James K. Leedy. Visitors included Chet Sellen, Perry Angstadt and Bob Limbach of Massillon.

The PTA sponsors a Craft and Hobby Show at the High School Cafeteria on February 15 at 8 o clock. Prizes include class awards for grades 1 to 8 and high school divisions with cash prizes and ribbons for adults.entries due by 6 o clock with name address and home room. Mr Louis Amstutz of Kidron will speak on radio hobby electronics.
Rev. Paul Price will deliver A Watchful Eye in Sunday morning worship at 10 45 a m at Dalton Methodist Church. Sunday School meets at 9 30 for all ages. The Woman's Society gathers Tuesday February 13 at the church with co hosts Mrs Gretchen Hammond and Mrs Kenneth Yeaman, replacing the William Tyrrell residence.
