A Dalton water main burst near the lower square overnight draining the reservoir. The 4 inch lead-in to Thompson's corner broke likely from truck traffic. the section between the squares was shut off while pumps restored service, except the Main Street business district. Fire department fought smoke in a residence. Leap year party at the Lehman home hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Addison Lehman with local guests.

Harold Olin of the Ashland Production Credit Association gave a talk and invited all the boys to the stockholders meeting on February 13. A league basketball game followed, Dalton winning 46 to 8, with refreshments served to eight from Orrville and 32 from Dalton. Shreve will visit Dalton Monday evening February 10.
