A Dalton water main burst near the lower square overnight draining the reservoir. The 4 inch lead-in to Thompson's corner broke likely from truck traffic. the section between the squares was shut off while pumps restored service, except the Main Street business district. Fire department fought smoke in a residence. Leap year party at the Lehman home hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Addison Lehman with local guests.
