Dalton was incorporated as a village on August 14, 1856 with Wm. Yergin as its first mayor. Last Saturday marked the Chinese New Year as observed across the United States. Roosevelt’s message to Congress last week was among the strongest documents, showing a fearless and manly presidential character.
Next Sunday several local churches schedule services: Methodist Episcopal with Rev. J Ty floak at 11:00 am and 7:00 pm, Presbyterian with Rev J W Hindlay at 9:00 am and 7:00 pm, Salem Mennonite with Rev A A Sommer at 10:00 am and 7:00 pm plus Sabbath school at 9:00 am, United Presbyterian with Rev W H Hubbell at 11:00 am on the topic Our Schools and Colleges.
