Pvt Lester L Steiner age 23 24 next February was killed in action January 7 in Italy while serving with the infantry of the 34th Division. He was born on a farm near Dalton son of Levi and Lydia Steiner and worked at Hercules Motor Company in Canton before enlisting February 1943. Surviving are his mother and three sisters Mrs Ray Shisler Dalton Mrs Kenneth Kandel Alliance and Mrs Guy Burkholder Smithville. He attended Salem Mennonite Church.
